Thankful Thursday

Psalm 100:4
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
When we are thankful it strengthens our spirits. Many times as a Mom I take for granted the simple things like, having enough energy to get the dishes and laundry done. I may not always feel like I do have the energy, but if I approach it with a thankful attitude, God honors that, and he strengthens me for the tasks.
As parents we are more likely to help our children if we can see they appreciate what we’ve already done. We’re more apt to give, if they take care of what we’ve already given.
Let’s be thankful all this week, and we can usher ourselves closer to God in doing it. We can enter into his gates with thanksgiving! Let’s spend time with him this week and show him we appreciate what he’s already done, and all he’s given us. Let’s be thankful for the simple things.

  2. Hello Tammy,
I agree with you, We need to have a more grateful heart. I know that I get nothing done without the help of my Heavenly Father. I try to remember that when I have finished a task to look up and say "thank you Father, I could not have done this without you." And like you I know where my strength comes from, this was such a great post, and thank you for sharing.
    Blessings,
    Sue

  4. With multiple sclerosis, I often lack the energy to get housework accomplished the way that I would like to (or used to be able to) I understand completely being thankful for having the energy to do it. Happy TT!
